Windows Vista OPK is now available for Download from MOSB in 20 Languages -- 5 Additional Languages Coming Soon
The Windows Vista OPK can be downloaded from the main OPK page on the OEM System Builder website, http://oem.microsoft.com/getopk today! All available OPKs can be found on this site including Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP in multiple languages. Five additional Windows Vista languages (Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Portuguese – Portugal and Turkish) will be posted within the next week.
Windows Vista and 2007 Office System Builder Channel Launch Webcast Available On-Demand
If you missed the webcast celebrating the launch of Windows Vista and 2007 Office with Bill Gates, you can still watch the recorded version from the OEM System Builder website. Please visit http://oem.microsoft.com/vistaofficewebcast to take part in this celebration. There is technical, preinstallation, sales and marketing information for Windows Vista and 2007 Office in addition to several product demonstrations.
Office Activation Assistant Not Included in the 2007 Office OPK -- Only Available for Download on OEM System Builder website
The Office Activation Assistant for use with OfficeReady PC preinstallation is not available in the OfficeReady OPK Master Kits. The Office Activation Assistant must be downloaded from the OEM System Builder website. Visit http://oem.microsoft.com/officeaa for more information and to download this important tool. There is only one version of the tool which can be installed on all machines regardless of the Office installed language.
Windows Welcome May Not Prompt for Product Key on Windows Vista
Many System Builders have reported that Windows Welcome (sometimes also known as OOBE) may not prompt end users for the product key. This is caused by using OEM product keys during image creation. This issue has been documented on the Windows Vista Readiness Center on http://oem.microsoft.com To work-around this issue, System Builders should not use OEM or OEM COA product keys in their image creation and/or preinstallation process for Windows Vista. There is a list of usable product keys on the Vista Readiness Center that System Builders should use in their deployment of Windows Vista.
