Introducing the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 and Microsoft Office 2003 Partner Services Promotion
 

Offer Details
 
The Microsoft Office Professional 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003 IT Consultant Services Promotion is designed to help you sell more services and increase your sales of Office Professional 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003. For a limited time, when your qualifying customers purchase eligible Office2003 or Windows Small Business Server 2003 licenses, they will receive a partner services subsidy check from Microsoft made payable directly to you, the partner, to provide services. When eligible Office Professional 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003 licenses are purchased together, your customer receives even more subsidy dollars for your services.
 
The matrix identifies the subsidy your qualifying customer will receive in a check from Microsoft made payable to you for services. The subsidy amount varies, with greatest return to both the customer and you when your customer purchases through Open Value. Open Value will include the new Small Business Full Platform SKU launching with Open License Value 2.0. Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003 is eligible for this promotion in only this new Small Business Full Platform SKU. Customers can step up to Office Professional 2003 with the purchase of this SKU if they choose.
 
 
How the offer works:
  • Your customer purchases a minimum of five (5) Microsoft Office Professional 2003 licenses, one (1) Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 license, or both at the same time through Open Licensing
  • Your customer visits the Microsoft Incentives website to submit redemption request.
    • Customer enters Open License agreement number
    • Customer selects the Microsoft partner of their choice to perform the services
    • Customer submits their redemption request
  • A check is sent to the customer, made out directly to the selected Microsoft partner to provide services
  • Partner follows up with the customer, as checks must be redeemed within 90 days

Exchange SP2!

Looks like Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 was released today!

One significant change is that the Information Store database size increased from 16GB to 75GB for Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition, which is the version used by SBS.  This is great news for a lot of small businesses! 

And before you ask, YES, Exchange Server 2003 SP2 IS SUPPORTED BY SBS!  Check the FAQ here.

Another important feature is the support for Windows Mobile 5 and its push technology for email.  Very cool stuff.
