Q: (from Paulette)
I would like to get some help from my local Territory Partner Manager (PTM). How do I find out who that person is?

I went to sign up for the Oct 7 Microsoft Windows 7 loadfest but I could not find a place to register. I noticed that you are running this event. Is there a special way to register for this event?
A:
Didn’t anyone tell you about the special handshake…
But seriously, you can find the registration information and a list of event cities at:
https://training.partner.microsoft.com/learning/app/management/LMS_ActDetails.aspx?UserMode=0&ActivityId=512374
We will have a morning and an afternoon session at each. I believe the cost is $50 and lasts about three hours with everyone getting an RTM version of Windows 7.
I will be delivering the Load Fests at:
- Oct 2nd – Waltham, MA
- Oct 7th – Washington, DC
- Oct 9th – New York, NY
- Oct 14th – Malvern, PA
- Oct 21st – Southfield, MI
- Oct 23rd – Chicago, IL
Q (from Jeff)
When I access page (removed for privacy) it will not display properly with one of my systems unless I turn compatibility off. It is fine when I turn it on. When I turn it off, the display is incorrect. On a second Windows 7 system and a Vista system it displays properly.
Any thoughts on the above issue? I have searched Microsoft’s web site and the Internet and have not found this any answers. Other than bugging you, where should really be posting this question?
A:
I think the IE8 Support site would be the best location for feedback.

I am unable to locate the “migration” link in case a customer/client has to do a clean install on an O/S. Is this the same as “Easy Transfer” on the Vista page?
A:
Yes – It is the Easy Transfer Wizard.

Q: (from Peter)
If a customer has XP Home or Vista Home Premium will they qualify for Windows 7 Professional Upgrade?
A:
For businesses, you can only use the Windows 7 Upgrade License in Volume Licensing for a qualified OS which include only Windows XP Pro and Windows Vista Business.
Only academic customers can upgrade Windows XP Home or Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional via volume licensing.
