Google Vs Windows Live
The latest news on the street is that Google's paid click growth has hit a wall. What does that mean? It means that merchants who pay Google to buy adwords aren't spending as much to advertise with Google.
Here's a great video that explains the scenario.
This reminded me of a conversation I had a couple of months ago with someone on the Windows Live team. Yeah, that great site, www.live.com that serves all your internet search needs. This product manager told me that Windows Live had a better "conversion rate" than Google; meaning that if you advertised on Live Search, you were more likely to see the customer click the link, and and and, then buy the product you're selling. That ladies and gentlemen is called conversion.
btw: if you haven't tried Live Search lately, give it a shot. You might just be surprised.
