Windows 7 Boot from VHD revisited –Screencast

I had some feedback from my first screencasts on Windows 7 Boot from VHD, mainly that the way I did it was not supported.  So I put together this screencast to demonstrate the support way of doing it, namely using IMAGEX.EXE to apply a WIM file (windows image file format) to the attached VHD, followed by manipulating BCDEDIT.EXE

There are other screencasts out there that show this, but I believe mine is good too.  Take a look. 

 

I will be posting some more information on BCDEDIT.exe as it relates to booting from VHDs in next few days.  Some interesting lessons learned.
